Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), also known as laparoscopic or keyhole surgery, is a technique that minimizes skin and tissue incisions. Surgeons use MIS to reduce trauma during procedures. Smaller incisions mean less pain, fewer complications, and shorter recovery times. Instead of making large incisions at the treatment site, surgeons make one or more small incisions, inserting long instruments and a miniature camera to monitor progress on a display.
